The City of Owen Sound with a population of approximately 21,000 people is located on the southern shore of Georgian Bay within Grey County. Owen Sound is well known for its many natural outdoor amenities and natural environment. The City serves as a regional hub for employment, tourism, and recreation within Grey and Bruce Counties. The City is seeking an operator for two Municipally owned Boat Launches. The West Side Boat Launch is at 1455 1st Avenue West, just north of the Visitor Information Centre. It offers an opportunity for food, beverage, and retail services. Amenities include parking, a fish cleaning station, and newly renovated, accessible washrooms. The West Side Boat Launch area of Owen Sound’s inner harbor is a popular destination for residents and visitors to enjoy. The East Side Boat Launch is at 1900 3rd Ave East, at the north tip of the parking lot at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre. |
