T-16G.1 Invitation to Re-Bid GENERAL CONTRACTOR - OWEN SOUND CITY HALL RENOVATIONS The existing building constructed in 1965 is approximately 2,223m2 in area, is of structural steel construction with a masonry and precast concrete building envelope. The scope of work includes building additions of approximately 70m2 in area, building envelope restoration, complete new mechanical and electrical systems and interior finishes. The facility will be fully vacated throughout construction. Due to the tender coming in over budget, the T-16G.1 City Hall Renovation was not awarded based on the original tender and the three lowest bids were invited to re-bid with specified reductions included with the tender document. The Three Pre-qualified general contractors for T-16G.1 Invitation to Re-Bid are: Cy Rheault Construction Ltd. Allen Hastings Ltd. MJ Dixon Construction Ltd. Pre-qualified general contractors and bids submitted for T-16G.1 were: Allen Hastings Ltd. - $7,452,420 Amico Design Build Inc.- No bid Cy Rheault Construction Ltd. - $7,450,000 Harbridge and Cross Ltd.- $9,322,000 M.J. Dixon Construction Ltd. - $8,783,000 |

R-170213-020 "THAT the minutes of the City Hall Accommodations Ad Hoc Committee meetings held on
January 24, 2017, January 27, 2017 and February 7, 2017 be received and the
recommendations therein be approved."
Recommendations from Report CS-17-030 included the City Hall Accommodations Ad Hoc Committee recommends that City Council: Award T-16G.1 Invitation to Re-bid to Cy Rheault Construction Ltd., the lowest compliant bidder.
