NOTICE RFPQ-16G.1 REQUEST FOR INFORMATION – GENERAL CONTRACTOR PRE QUALIFICATION The Corporation of the City of Owen Sound is accepting Applications to Pre-qualify from General Contractors for Tender period: November / December 2016 Construction start: January 2017 Completion date: March 31, 2018 The existing building constructed in 1965 is approximately 2,223m2 in area, is of structural steel construction with a masonry and precast concrete building envelope. The scope of work includes building additions of approximately 70m2 in area, building envelope restoration, complete new mechanical and electrical systems and interior finishes. The facility will be fully vacated throughout construction. RFPQ packages can be downloaded from the City Bids and Tenders website bids.owensound.caor picked up at the City Hall Purchasing Department, main floor, City Hall between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Deadline for submissions is: October 20, 2016, no later than 1:00:00 pm Local Time. Clearly address the envelope or container to the Purchasing Division as follows: The City of Owen Sound, Purchasing Division, 808 2nd Avenue East, Owen Sound Ontario N4K 2H4 This is a prequalification for the General Contractors only. Once the General Contractors are prequalified their names will be identified in the tender documents. All subtrades, including local subtrades, are able to submit pricing to any of the prequalified General Contractors. The General Contractors are free to carry the subtrades of their choice. |
